SANTA BARBARA (local sponsor: Church of the Beatitudes)
Fr. Roy Bourgeois, internationally known as the founder of the School of the Americas (SOA) Watch to end U.S. government-funded combat training of Latin American militaries, has taken up a new cause within the Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Roy, a Catholic priest for more than 36 years, is touring the country in public support of women's ordination. Fr. Bourgeois considers this issue a matter of justice.
